    Good, But expensive

Posted by Niko on 9th Mar 2022

Nice stuff, but at $55 / pound it's pretty expensive. I mean... it's rice, not tea. But I could be wrong... I don't know what it takes to make this stuff. Pro Tip: Been finding it's also really nice as a healthy crunch to almost any meal! I add it as a garnish to salads, curries, and tacos and it adds great texture.

Roasty, Toasty, Delicious (if a bit hard)

Posted by Noelle on 5th Feb 2022

This is amazing, I've been looking for genmai for a year before finding this site. I love adding a scoop of this to very green oolongs when I want caffeine and mixing this with green rooibos in the afternoon/evening to get those same flavor profiles. It's also fun to eat raw, but be careful, it's quite hard and could dislodge a bad filling if you're careless or unlucky. Also tried grinding in my mortar and pestle to put on larb, but the pieces would grind fine enough and were gritty. Buy it, you'll love it.

    Satisfying

Brown Rice Tea is a mild, slightly nutty flavor that reminds you of a delicate Asian dish at a fine restaurant. Goes well with many flavors of dishes, and is refreshing.
